Advocacy
At NAINA, advocacy is a cornerstone of our mission to empower nurses and nursing students of Indian origin and heritage, as well as all our members. Through advocacy, we amplify the voices of our members, influence policy, and promote initiatives that advance nursing practice, education, and the health of the communities we serve.
Our advocacy efforts include:
- Grassroots Advocacy: Stay informed and engaged with key initiatives, campaigns, and events from the American Nurses Association (ANA) and other professional nursing organizations.
- Action Alerts: Receive timely updates on important legislative and regulatory matters affecting nurses, nursing students, and healthcare policy.
- Member Engagement: Opportunities to participate in ANA Hill Day, local advocacy events, and collaborative initiatives that make a real impact on healthcare policy.
- Resources & Links: Access important advocacy tools, including ANA’s latest updates, action items, and guidance for effective engagement.
NAINA encourages all members to be active participants in shaping the nursing profession and healthcare policy. Your voice matters, please join us in advocating for meaningful change.
Policies & Procedures / Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
This section provides members with clear guidance on how NAINA operates and how each committee fulfills its responsibilities. By outlining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), we ensure transparency, accountability, and consistency across all organizational activities.
Here you will find:
- Committee SOPs: Roles, responsibilities, and workflows for each committee.
- Organizational Policies: Rules, protocols, and procedures that govern NAINA operations.
- Updates & Notices: Changes, new procedures, or important organizational initiatives.
- Member Resources: Tools and references to help members engage, volunteer, and understand how NAINA functions.
These SOPs ensure that all members are informed, empowered, and able to actively contribute to NAINA’s mission of advancing nursing, mentoring future leaders, and improving healthcare outcomes for the communities we serve.
