The Education Committee leads the development and advancement of high‑quality educational initiatives that support the professional growth of NAINA members. The committee plans and evaluates educational programs and recommends content for NAINA conferences and events. In collaboration with the National APN Committee, it helps design national educational offerings and ensures alignment with accreditation standards. The committee supports ongoing professional development across chapters, maintains required documentation for ANCC continuing nursing education (CNE) provider status, and participates in ANCC training to uphold excellence in education. 

Responsibilities

  • Continuously assesses, identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs to meet membership needs.
  • Recommends educational content for all NAINA events and conferences.
  • Collaborates with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC Director and the National APN Committee chair to plan all national educational events.
  • Acts as a resource for local chapters and collaborates with chapter presidents, chapter education committee chairs, and other professional agencies for the development and implementation of educational programs.
  • Takes initiative and leads in conference planning and preparation activities including review and selection of conference themes, identification of speakers and trending topics,
  • Reviews abstracts for podium and poster presentations to enrich the educational activities.
  • Assists Conference Planning Committee in preparing conference brochures along with the identified task force by providing the needed education-related content and program.
  • Identifies national healthcare trends that need to be presented in regional, national, and international conferences.
  • Actively engages the local chapter professional development chairs to perform educational events at regular intervals.
  • Submits all documents and intellectual properties related to ANCC continuing nursing education (CNE) provider status for document retention in the shared drive.
  • Attends ANCC training sessions.
